Painting the Town Blue for May

Grants Supermarket is “painting the town blue” in an effort to honor local law enforcement during the month of May.

Grants will be recognizing “Paint the Town Blue” in all of their locations during the month of May, Grants spokesperson Pam Carter said. “We encourage all residents to sport their favorite blue shirts and tie a ribbon on their vehicle,” Carter said. “Please show your support to the men and women who protect our communities.”

While supplies last, Grants Supermarket will be giving away ribbons to their customers for their vehicles in support of painting the town blue.

All Grant’s will also be offering FREE brown bag lunches to area first responders from 11am – 2pm on May 23, 2019.

“We hope that people in the two Virginias will support initiatives like this,” Bluefield City Manager Dane Rideout said. “We feel that there is much that local law enforcement does for the community in putting their lives on the line, providing public information and giving back to the community. We want them to know they are in a community that supports them.”
